HIKING IN LANZAROTE TO DISCOVER ITS TRUE ESSENCE
Lanzarote has a lot to offer, beyond the most iconic and characteristic places.
Nature in Lanzarote, said César Manrique, decided to hide its own beauty under the extensive black lava flows. We must awaken our curiosity and want to discover the unusual.
Lanzarote gives you a wide variety of places where history, culture, and traditions play a very important role. The Conect CWith Lanzarote activities allow you to do hiking activities through lesser-known places, but full of unique beauty, with great stories to tell you and with a magic that leaves no one indifferent.
Explore Lanzarote through its flavors with customized enogastronomic routes, where each experience opens a door to tradition and innovation. You can choose from:
Honey of Lanzarote: Immerse yourself in the world of beekeeping on a farm in the south of Lanzarote, where you will learn about the intricate workings of beehives and enjoy a tasting of seven different honeys.
Winery Visits (Olivina and Erupción): Experience unique tasting sessions, from savoring wines paired with cheeses to exploring vineyards and cellars, discovering the varieties of white, red, and sweet wines.
Flor de Luz Cheese Factory: Discover the art of cheesemaking during a visit that includes a detailed explanation of the production process and cheese tastings, with the option of a tasting menu that includes farm products.
The Molina: Get to know the local mill where you will learn about the production of gofio and taste products made from this ancestral Canarian food.
Each route is designed to be a private and exclusive experience for groups of up to 8 people, allowing you to interact closely with the owners and experts. The routes are customizable according to your preferences, with a minimum requirement of two people. Enjoy an unforgettable day, specifically designed for you and by you, where the culture, gastronomy, and history of Lanzarote intertwine in a unique sensory journey.
Depending on the selected experience, the following are included:
Arrecife became the capital of Lanzarote in the second half of the 19th century, thus leaving aside its fishing and seafaring past. Not everything was erased from the collective memory, as we still have memories of that past that was so important for the entire island of Lanzarote.
In this activity of Connect With Lanzarote activity we are going to focus on the island's economy prior to the tourist boom and thus understand the figure of the Arrecife carnival: the buches.
A walk through the streets of the historic center to relive that past and those days of festivities when fishermen came back home.

Teguise: the Vega of San José
Let's discover one of the unknown corners of Lanzarote enjoying the essence of the island away from the masses.
From the outskirts of Teguise we start walking along part of the historic path that linked Orzola with Playa Blanca. Depending on the season in which you do the experience, the vegetation changes in a surprising way, a sign of the fertility of these lands, which are covered with a green mantle after a few days of rain.
The first stop will be where the old Cortijo de San José and the hermitage of the same name were located. Here we discover the history of the modern era of Lanzarote, its religious traditions, but also the rural reality of the island of volcanoes.
We continue crossing the valley and we will have the opportunity to talk about the different systems of growing crops used by the farmers of Lanzarote.
Once in Teguise, we will take the opportunity to learn about its history and discover its artcrafts and local products.

HIKING BETWEEN VALLEYS AND ARTISAN TRADITION IN LANZAROTE
Discover the beauty of northern Lanzarote on a circular route from the town of Haria. Discover the history, culture, architecture and - above all - the rich vegetation of this peculiar corner of the north of Lanzarote.
After a walk around the thousand palm trees valley, we return to the town of Haria where we will have a stop at the local saturday market and learn about the artcrafts of the island.
The route begins with a small hill where we will take the opportunity to take breaks and enjoy the views while we talk about the endemic and native vegetation that we find along the way.
This small effort is worth it since we will reach a viewpoint from where we will enjoy the views of the entire west coast of Lanzarote.
It is after this break that we begin the descent towards the town of Haria, crossing the area with the most vegetation per m2 in all the island.
