Ecolandlovers | Guia En Lanzarote

Hello, I’m Maria Condo, an official tour guide, hiking guide, environmental educator and specialist in wine and territory.

Ecolandlovers Guía En Lanzarote was founded in July 2020, during the pandemic. That period of uncertainty gave me the opportunity to shape an idea I had been considering for some time: organising small-group walks through lesser-known and less crowded areas of Lanzarote.

From the beginning, I chose to work with small groups. This approach reduces the impact on the environment, allows me to provide more personal attention and makes it easier to adapt the timing and pace to each participant.

During the walks, I explain how volcanic activity, agriculture, wine, rural culture and local ways of life have shaped Lanzarote’s landscape. My aim is not simply to guide you through a place, but to help you understand what you are seeing and the connections between its different elements.

In 2022, Ecolandlovers Guía En Lanzarote became the first business from the Turismo Emprende en Verde programme to receive Biosphere certification. I was also the first hiking guide in Lanzarote to receive this recognition.

In 2026, the project received the Ethical and Responsible Tourism Award in the CONOCE category, recognising the work I do to share and interpret Lanzarote’s heritage and territory during my guided experiences.

Each experience is designed to help you discover Lanzarote at a relaxed pace, gain specialist knowledge and connect with the territory in a respectful, personal and approachable way.
