WHO IS GUIA EN LANZAROTE

Guia En Lanzarote is a hiking and guided tour company in Lanzarote.

Behind the brand is me, Maria, a tour guide and lover of nature and the island.

When I arrived on the island in 2006, it was difficult for me to understand the beauty of these black, arid and dry landscapes, but when I later began to explore roads and trails I finally came to love Lanzarote. That's how I decided to transmit that love for the island and this curiosity without which you can't discover a destination.

When creating the company I was clear about what my mission was: to make all the people who visit Lanzarote discover its beauty and its true essence.

The company motto is DISCOVER, ENJOY, RESPECT.

Discover different landscapes with routes through less known environments, little crowded but with a great story behind.

Enjoy contact with nature, with the local people and their most authentic traditions. On all the routes you have the opportunity to get to know an aspect of the culture and traditions of the island up close.

Since its beginning, the company has been clear about its commitment to sustainability, preserving the environment and supporting the local community. This commitment has led us to become a benchmark in sustainable active tourism, recognized with the Biosphere Sustainable Seal since 2023. And as a Guide in Lanzarote, Maria has been the first tourism guide in Lanzarote to achieve this recognition.

The mission is clear: to make known the true essence of Lanzarote while respecting the environment and strengthening the local social and economic fabric. I design unique experiences in nature for small groups, maximizing enjoyment and minimizing environmental impact.

Environmental commitment

At Guía En Lanzarote, we understand that nature is the heart of our activity, and that is why we implement concrete actions to preserve it:

• Design of sustainable routes: We work with small groups of a maximum of 10 people, ensuring a lower impact on the natural environment.
• Environmental awareness: During our routes and on social networks, we promote responsible practices, educating visitors about the importance of taking care of ecosystems.
• Fight against garbage: Whenever we find waste during our routes, we collect it to guarantee a clean and safe environment for fauna and flora.

Social commitment

We believe in the power of collaboration to enhance local development. Therefore:

• We are actively looking for small local businesses to work with, contributing to the island's economy and offering our customers more authentic experiences.
• Through the ecobanks, we support local associations such as AFOL and the Las Palmas Food Bank. This project, which donates one euro for each participant, has helped these organizations meet their objectives.

The eco-banks project

In their first year, the eco-banks have been a social and economic success. In 2024, we have managed to donate more than €100 to each of the beneficiary associations, demonstrating that small gestures can have a big impact. Our goal is to continue expanding this project, including new partnerships in the coming years.
