Wine experiences
Wine experiences in Lanzarote offer a way to understand how landscape, climate and local culture shape each wine.
This selection includes tastings in natural settings and places connected to the territory, where wine is interpreted from its origin, not only from the glass.
Hiking in La Geria – Volcanic vineyards and wine with history
Guided walking route through La Geria, one of the most distinctive wine landscapes in Lanzarote.
The route begins among vineyards planted in hollows on volcanic ash, where you’ll learn about the origin of this cultivation system and how it adapts to wind and water scarcity.
As the route progresses, it gradually ascends towards the area of Guardilama, offering a broader understanding of the relationship between the Timanfaya eruptions and the formation of this landscape.
Along the way, local grape varieties, cultivation techniques and the influence of the territory on the wine are explained.
The experience finishes at Bodegas Rubicón, with a visit to its traditional wine press and a tasting that connects what you’ve seen during the walk with what you taste in the glass.

Wine tasting in Janubio at Sunset
Sunset experience on Janubio beach, one of the most representative landscapes in the south of Lanzarote, where the sea, salt and volcanic origin of the territory come together.
The experience begins with an easy walk along the coastline, where the formation of this landscape is explained, as well as the role of water, wind and volcanic activity in the creation of the Janubio salt flats, one of the most important productive areas on the island.
Along the way, you’ll understand the relationship between the territory and local products, and how elements such as salt have shaped the economic and cultural history of Lanzarote.
The experience ends with a tasting of sparkling wine from Lanzarote by the sea at sunset, where you can recognise in the wine the influence of this environment: its fresh, mineral and slightly saline character.
