public Wine experiences
Experiences centred around wine, where tasting is understood in relation to the place where it is produced. Wines are tasted while their origin, vineyard work and the context that defines their character are explained.

Walk through the volcanic vineyards of La Geria in a group of no more than 10 people and discover how volcanic soil, wind and human ingenuity made winegrowing possible in Lanzarote.

The experience lasts approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes and ends at Bodegas Rubicón with a guided tasting of one Lanzarote wine paired with cheese.

  IT INCLUDES:
  • Guided circular hike through the Protected Landscape of La Geria, with interpretation of the landscape and local viticulture.
  • Visit to Bodegas Rubicón with a guided tasting of one Lanzarote wine paired with cheese.
  • Public liability and accident insurance.
  • Contribution to the Ecohucha fund, which supports local associations.
  • Small gift at the end of the route, sourced from a work-integration social enterprise.

  DOES NOT INCLUDE:
  • Transport to the meeting point. I can help you arrange it if needed.
  • Any food or drinks in addition to the included tasting.

The route follows paths covered in volcanic ash, known locally as rofe, and dirt tracks. Closed-toe footwear suitable for walking is mandatory.

For safety reasons, Ecolandlovers Guía En Lanzarote reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone who is not wearing suitable footwear. No refund will be issued in this case.

This experience is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or significant respiratory conditions.

Please bring water, sun protection and a light jacket or windbreaker, especially on windy days.

Responsible alcohol consumption is recommended during the tasting.

This was a really magnificent walk, again with Maria’s excellent and friendly company. Very varied views, hills and valleys, with volcanoes and lava fields, grapes growing in rock shelters dotted all over the hillsides - and a wine tasting at the end. Lots to look at and discuss. We would definitely call her any time we come back to Lanzarote.

The second walk with Maria. Spectacular scenery followed up with fascinating historical and geological information about the area. Perfectly rounded off with wine-tasting.
