Agricultural landscapes, cochineal and wine along the trails of Guatiza
A unique wine tourism experience that connects landscape, memory, and flavour in the agricultural heart of Lanzarote.
We visit the famous Cactus Garden by César Manrique, after exploring the history and heritage of Guatiza.
We talk about Manrique, pop art, landscape and artistic vision.
After visiting the garden, we head to Bodega Olivina, where Jorge, the founder, welcomes us with a personal talk about his project, the cochineal farming tradition, and his grandfather’s legacy — a key part of this story of tradition and renewal.
The experience ends with a tasting of four local wines, paired with cheeses from the island — a delicious and heartfelt way to taste the identity of Lanzarote
