WINE, COCHINEAL AND AUTHENTIC TRADITIONS
A wine tourism experience that will take you to discover a world unknown to the vast majority.
From our meeting point, we begin a simple walking route around Guatiza, a town best known for the Manrique Cactus Garden.
The walk will take us to discover the most authentic side of the town and its agricultural traditions as well as enjoy unique views.
After the walk of just over an hour, we stop at the Olivina Winery where its owner, Jorge, will tell us about his project and will introduce us to the cultivation of cochineal, also telling us the story of his grandfather.
And all accompanied by a tasting of 4 wines and cheeses from the island.
From the Olivina winery we begin walking the streets of the town until we enter the wildest and most natural area of Guatiza.
We cross fields of crops and climb one of the volcanoes in the area, to enjoy the views of all of Guatiza and the northeast coast of Lanzarote.
We return to Guatiza to taste the wines of Bodega Olivina and hear from the voice of Jorge, its owner, the history and project of the winery in addition to learning about the cultivation of cochineal.
